    Let the saints 1 May

1 May is a celebration of the working people międzynarododowym towns and villages therefore came to the conclusion, it is the best opportunity to take a free bike, although for some time I am a representative of the people of a not-, moreover cities. In addition, I was curious and with the eyes of my imagination I have already seen those streets of communist China flagged and transparent processions.
Well. There was no sign of the procession or other manifestations, it was a consumption festival. A year earlier, the Chinese authorities gave up organizing shows 1 May is now in China's big day purchases and sales. The streets were yes, full, but wandering with nets citizens, who came in a wide stream from the surrounding villages. I felt a little disappointed, however,. It would be nice to go back to the days of early memories of childhood, when the First of May parades were for me, residents of the small town small big attraction. Therefore, I joined the ranks of shopaholics, because a larger city is a chance to replenish stocks, then on the road - forget it.

Several days earlier, on one of the – mountain course – roads I encountered a Serb family, ie. Ivan, Oliver and their 3,5 year-old son of David. On the bike course - that is to say the boy was riding in the trailer, which, like bicycles laden parents were stacked. Top bambetli the back and front of the bike, tacked a lot of utensils, bottles, food - in front of the steering wheel proudly presented the overgrown turnips or would be otherwise was a vegetable. Some prominent Russian checkered bag, clothes, reflective vests - in a word, they fully deserved the name of pure-bodied wanderers. They were traveling from Malaysia to Kuala Lumpur … home to Serbia.
As someone tell me, that I am brave what can be said about them? I can't imagine such a distant bicycle journey with a small child, no world championship just.

    – 3 dni w Jinghong? what to do there so much time? – asked Oliver So, because there is supposedly some nice garden there? replied after a moment.

W Jinghong? Nieee, nothing special, I hardly visited. I've hung around the city, yes, is pretty cool. Sometimes I need to stop and rest, no break in the morning, read, browse the internet, settle various matters and stuff"I answered truthfully. And when I left it is expensive, which I chose I didn't like very much, So I decided to come back, sleep because it was late and the next day to go another. I got over it. I added.
    – I also would've wanted, but ... we have to go Oliver replied. Maybe it seemed to me, but I felt sadness in her voice.
    – you don't stop anywhere along the way, just go day by day?
    – basically yes. Well, and you, why you ride alone?
I thought then I, that's why, not to have that sadness in my voice or maybe even regret in my heart, that "we have to go".

In Laos, I met a couple of Australians followers from Australia to London. We exchanged experiences as it usually happens in such moments. We have just left Thailand - me, although I was too hot, I loved this country, I walked on the most unpopular roads, I spent there together 4,5 a month and I didn't reach tourist noon at all.

They did not have very positive memories.
    – People were not very friendly, he didn't even greet usand I heard.

In Thailand? Unfriendly people? Have we been to other countries?

    – No fakt, we were driving on highways because we are in a hurry. Thailand from south to north we have done in 16 days, did not see anything but the highway added.

“We did”. I realize, that hardly anyone has an unlimited resource of time to leisurely ride or would be savoring every encountered flower and butterfly, but maybe it's worth giving up sometimes, indulge, take a May Day holiday and then even get on a train or bus if time is urgent and our road business plan collapses.

Do not know, I myself think so, but who likes what.

Is it France already? the cyclist on the bike aske Is it France already? the cyclist on the bike asked as we stood in front of some signs by the cycle path along the Rhine river.
I guess so, France, because there are already French signs, I replied, but there was no FRANCE sign anywhere. We didn't find it but we took a souvenir photo, and then we sat at the roadside tavern for a beer.
The idea to come to France has been growing in me for some time. I was encouraged by the famous € 9 regional trains ticket promotion in Germany. Somehow I didn't want to devote my time to Germany - despite the incredible ease of getting around this country by bike, I am not fond, neither speak the language nor like the architecture too much. I also decided to skip the Czech Republic to get to France as soon as possible - but it did not happen, I was very drawn to the bicycle path along the river Ochra. It winds along the river in the shade of trees for many kilometers. From Karlovy Vary I pedaled on 2 wheels.
The Czechs like beer. I dare say more than in Poland. They like to scream after drinking alcohol, that's what usually happens when one is drunk right? Anyway, tearing the snout took place there at every campsite I passed, so I bought a shower and went on, and put the tent up elsewhere. Easy. Pleasant.
And in France, I feel great. It's fun to understand the world around you, although still in Alsace everyone speaks German or a mixture. It's fun to look at the shelves with the amount of products I love. It's great to have municipal campgrounds for max 10 EUR.
I am being asked what my tour is when people see the luggage. Just for the sake of it, the random encounters and chats it pays to have it 😁😁🙃
Hope it will be more "fun". No idea yet where to go after Alsace but thinking where to hide tomorrow when the 36 Celsius heat wave comes.

How is it to cycle Poland? Have you been there? I How is it to cycle Poland? Have you been there? I see foreign people asking more and more often. Where to go, where to sleep, is it ok to wild camp? More questions arise. The biggest obstacle is that information other than in Polish is simply difficult to find.

Poland has never been a top tourist destination and is not a number 1 place to go cycling, but believe me, it offers a lot. And luckily it attracts foreigners. It offers diverse landscape and.. it's much cheaper (still!).
I'm an avid cyclist and have been exploring Poland on a bicycle for more than 30 years. I know it quite well (although not all over). Let me give you some tips on cycling Poland - where to go and where to stay, where to cycle in Poland. Plus some practical tips. Hope you’ll find it useful and visit.

When my German friend visited Poland for the first When my German friend visited Poland for the first time back in 1997 the first place he wanted to see was "Marienburg" that is the Malbork castle.
Today I recalled it when was looking at it again. It is huge! And so impressive. I've made my way here cycling from Gdańsk and a bit of Baltic seaside before heading south.
With a surface area of some 21 hectares, Malbork Castle is the largest Gothic castle complex IN THE WORLD and a masterpiece of late-medieval fortification and residential architecture. No wonder it's the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
I'm more for nature and not a big fan of castles and buildings, but some are simply special.

Back in Poland after 8 months! I have been wildca Back in Poland after 8 months!
I have been wildcamping for years but since the Polish Forests Administration introduced a test program "Sleep in the forest" that enables some forest areas and camp spots to use I have been trying that -as for now with a good result. Some of the places are not special but some really great, so you might see other people there in the summer.
This one not far from Gdańsk was really nice and I was the only one there.
For any of you that want to try just google "Czas w las" and mark the tent icon - the map appears.

I am not a fan of big humidity in the air. I sweat I am not a fan of big humidity in the air. I sweat a lot and on practical side the tent is wet in the morning. Sometimes it takes too long for it to get dry but then hopefully the sun will come out during the day. It's enough to find a proper spot, 10 minutes, all done!

While living in #valdorcia in Tuscany for a few mo While living in #valdorcia in Tuscany for a few months I've watched thousands of people visiting the same places to see the same views. The viewpoints were marked on google maps and mentioned on tourism sites.
I didn't follow them, but this one close to #montepulciano I just came across. So why not to do a selfie there?
Luckily being a #cyclist I wander around and see same beautiful, yet not full of people places.

The Padan lowland is probably the least attractive The Padan lowland is probably the least attractive part of Italy for cyclists. Pros - it's flat and there are many beautiful cities and towns - like Modena, Ferrara, Padua, Ravenna and dozens of smaller ones. Cons - because it is flat :) - and as we know, mountains, hills and some water do the job in the landscape. Although the latter is in abundance here, it is not one of the most picturesque.
I've been here before so I wasn't going to spend any time cycling now. Having less than 3 days to get to the bus that was supposed to take me with my bike from Padua to the north, to the Czech Republic, I decided to spend two days in the Apennines - in the mountains 35 degrees heat is more tolerable. Because for me the heat in this part of the world is unbearable. This year it came too early, already in May - the grass on the Tuscan slopes is not green anymore, but yellow. This is one of the reasons why I am coming north. Turn off this oven !!! The obligatory for me 2-3-4 hour siesta in the shade does not help much when the air is still. I also didn't see other beautiful cities like Florence, because it's even hotter there, and besides, the start of holidays in Italy (yes, that's it) and the long weekend (Republic Day on June 2) did their job - the crowds went on tour and you have to go was somewhere to hide from them.
Due to yet another train strike in Italy I had to postpone my departure, but this way I cycled and actually enjoyed it - the part of river Po lowland and visited some new places like Ferrara.
Today it's cloudy in Padua and it's about to start raining. Italy is crying that I'm leaving after half a year.. What do I say? I am happy and sad at the same time. Anyway- until we meet again, See you soon!
